Casa Escobar is located in the gated neighborhood Haras Santa Maria de Escobar, located in the North corridor, 54 km from the center of the city of Buenos Aires.
The neighborhood-large lots - is organized around a golf course. The house lot Escobar is characterized by its flat topography and its privileged view back to this court, and a vast green space with North orientation.
The client -a young couple - asked us for a weekend house that the short-term it would become his permanent home.
The space leading of the house should be occupied by the social sector, with an interior height greater than that of the rest of the local and high level of natural terrain with the intention of getting views in hierarchy above the external environment.
The program should also consider a master bedroom suite and two children for their future children, who also would make use of a games room, which should be as distant as possible from the social area.
They asked us for the living-dining room open to an expansion half-covered in direct contact with a swimming pool. The house should be opened to the green and count with spaces for contemplation.
We proposed a house of concrete and glass, the materiality that didn't require too much maintenance.
We aim to generate a synthesis architecture in relation to the organization of the local and uniqueness with respect to morphology, total.
We decided to organize the project from the main platform -the access and use of social - arranging the rest of the local media levels from this. This joint to connect smoothly to the local if giving them your time independence.
A bellows circulatory and service was erected on the front, giving it to the local nobles privacy in relation to the street, guiding them in the opposite direction, toward the bottom of the ground. This bellows -practically blind to the outside - opens by means of rajas longitudinal. While the front is exposed mostly occlusal, the rear facade is linked seamlessly with the outside through a skin closing completely transparent.
The load-bearing system was organized on the basis of a system of two inverted beams parallel that run the length of the entire house.
With the intention to emphasize visually the horizontality of the volume of these beams were retranqueadas of the planes of closure, both front as in the rear facade. These two structural lines are arranged according to the spatial organization inside, ordering the bellows of service front, the spaces and the deck, half-covered back.
On the other hand, there was an intention to frame the visual in boxes manifest horizontal, for direccionarlas to the green exterior and golf course are arranged at the rear facade. The same intention has led us to project the rows of trees on the boundary lines of land side, which in turn granted privacy with respect to the neighbouring houses.
The pool, built to the expansion terrace of the house by the request of the customer, it was resolved by configuring it as a rectangular plate with three side overhang to hide the depth of the container and generate a mirror floating both in the exterior view towards the house as the inside of the house, where we can observe the reflection of the sky in the surface of the water as remate visual of the plane of the floor of the terrace.
We managed to form a compact volume of peel severe where internally we had a variety of spatial situations from the differences of level and of the different treatment of the natural light and the exterior wall of each of the premises. We try to build a house that was able to give shelter by architecture strokes simple and spaces stripped of artifice in close dialogue with its natural surroundings.
