Country house is located on a batch of one hectare in the town of Cañuelas. In a rural environment, where it is imposed with force the presence landscape of the pampas plains.
Our clients are a couple with a child of ten years old who enjoy living in the field and in touch with nature and wanted to move into a house practical and functional, requiring little maintenance and with an aesthetic that is free that would allow them to fully enjoy the environment.
We asked for a home where they will be optimized to maximize the use of every square meter, with the goal of building the smallest surface area possible to accommodate the uses required: two bedrooms, a study and a social area.
The strategy emerges to focus on the interest that awakens in us the power of the landscape of the pampas plains. The omnipresence of the plane of the horizon, the extension of the plain, unbroken, infinite and sky vast, immense, occupying all the space, visually and potentiated by the presence of sporadic occurrence of some groups of trees.
The project is structured on the basis of the intention of enhancing the horizontality of the landscape, exaggerating it, through the generation of a house completely linear.
The fact that you have a spacious ground it gave us the ability to orient and locate the project with total freedom.
We decided then, to generate the main façade is completely oriented towards the north, where they are dumped each one of the environments that make up the house.
The house extends into the landscape through a gallery. This gallery has a height smaller than the interior of the house, accentuating the horizontality of the project and, in turn, provides greater protection to the solar incidence in the summer months.
The south facade is, instead, a facade more closed, with a window on top, cumshot, which is interrupted only at the point of access to housing.
The location of the local resolves to generate a large social area in the center of the house and gathers at one end of the bedroom of the child along with the study (which will be used by him) and at the other end of the room of the parents. In this way, the private areas are well separated from each other giving privacy to the same.
Unlike previous projects, where the structure seeks to generate large distances between supports, in this house, they created a succession of columns of square section located within a short distance of each other on the north facade. In this way it seeks to accentuate the horizontality of the project by using the repetition of a rhythm homogeneous.
In turn, the repetition of a bay regular refers to the appeal of the classic country house with its gallery, supported on a series of columns.
In this case, the columns are located in the interior of the house, therefore it generates a virtual boundary prior to the glass-shaped frames to the landscape that is perceived to infinity through the regular repetition of vertical elements.
The columns provide the structure of the facade and its separation reveals the different measures of the local as that the enclosures of the same are independent of this facade system.
The succession of vertical elements is also repeated on the south façade through a sequence of partitions that are hosting elements of saved under the window, cumshot horizontal that runs through the project from end to end.
In this way, the home is perceived from the outside as an artifact horizontal with a modulation to regulate that is interrupted only in the south facade by a plane oblique to generate the access.
