Casa Golf is geographically located in the center of the neighborhood Costa Esmeralda, thirteen kilometers north of the maritime city of Pinamar.
The lot is implanted in the area of the district topographically higher, bordering both the front and rear facade with a golf course, which, along with the native vegetation –mostly rugged - make their immediate environment. Originally it was limited to a médano virgin with a slope that rose as they drove away from the street, which the Study suggested preserve.
The order consisted of a house of rest that could be lived in the four seasons of the year and that didn't require too much maintenance. The program should also consider the arrangement of three secondary bedrooms (two of them with shared bathroom and one en-suite) and one main one, completely independent of the previous ones, served by another bathroom and tied openly with a space that could be experienced as being intimate and atelier of painting. It is desired that the place intended for the couple became a stronghold of calm, which connects visually with its natural environment and is closely linked with an external expansion. This sector and the one destined to social activities should be spaces protagonist of the housing. Likewise, it is said that he wished to preserve the native vegetation and to enhance the breathtaking views own batch.
The proposal of the Study consisted of a house entirely embodied in concrete, a material whose noble expression of aesthetic allowed a respectful dialogue with its surrounding environment.
The strategy architectural sought to organize the different functional requirements in packages, well-differentiated contained in three volumes cigars, directed according to different orientations and arranged at different levels.
The access to and the secondary bedrooms, formed the lower volume, which was, at its posterior end, half-buried in the dunes. Along with a box located on its opposite side -destined to deposit - officiated support of the prism housing spaces for the dynamics of family activities. The third volume, the container for the master suite, took the maximum height, enjoying the privacy required by the client.
In relation to the overall project will be sought for the use of the visual without this impacting on the loss of the necessary preservation of the privacy of their spaces, the challenge very own architecture glass contemporary.
The volume visually more permeable it would be the container of the activities of the social life, not only by the transparency of its envelope, but also for his willingness parallel to the street, opposite to that of the other two volumes, which were arranged perpendicular, falling back into the batch.
The prism of social took the maximum width buildable and rose to the level of the greater height of the dunes, located in the back of the lot. This provided him with a radius of 180 degree views over the golf course, open views of the neighborhood and a proper recollection respect of the street. To further strengthen the privacy of your own space it was decided to afforest with maritime pines the sector that mediates between it and the street and proceeded to the provision of shade, vertical, which in turn contributed to the reduction of the incidence of the sun from the west in its interior. In the same way, the eaves horizontal –cantilevered floor slabs - what do the vertical sun of the north, which states monolithically to vertical partitions fulfill the same role that the sun visor in the front. The volume higher, with appropriate independence, achieved well -to mode of cannon - the visual of the distant horizon of the sea.
The social area expands towards the front, by means of a roof-top terrace. In the opposite direction, another expansion (larger and more private character) opens the living-dining room to the outside. The volume of the suite the fly over for the most part, giving it protection from sunlight and rain water. All the terraces were built in wood of quebracho. Separated by an air of the decks on which to expand, contributing to the reduction of the solar incidence of local cover.
The walls less sunny (those oriented to the southeast) were thermally insulated by an inner lining formed by wood kiri. The same resource is used on the walls against the supporters of the backs of the beds in order to soften the harshness of the concrete, the local, more intimate.
In addition to the solar control provided passively by the architecture itself -so that the house could be lived comfortably throughout the year such as the customer requested - this one was completed using the equipment of air conditioning systems. Equipment was installed cooling Split type, and radiant floor heating.
The arrangement of the prisms sought to set up the house as an artifact-viewpoint composed of volumes arranged around an axis articulator: the vertical circulation. Its cross-linking, in addition to the partial excavation of the access volume, sought to decrease the height and mitigate the visual impact of the volume total. The big lights and the flights that this architectural configuration required could only be possible thanks to the structural properties of reinforced concrete employee.
