STAY HORIZON
CAPILLA DEL SEÑOR, BUENOS AIRES
Established in the immensity of the pampas, the home is developed as a part of extensive horizontal and that seeks to condense, within its own architecture, the dimension of the open landscape.
Its linear organization has spaces in succession, building a continuous experience in any environment, it participates in the views of long field. More to prevail over the territory, the house extends parallel to the horizon, and accompanies its scale, emphasizing the perception of being and living in the midst of a space without boundaries.
To the outside, a metal structure dark and a cover of black veneer make up a presence precise and austere, linked with rural buildings in traditional. The repetition of the columns and the depth of the gallery reinterpreting the image of the country house in argentina from a contemporary language.
The gallery is the central space of the project. As a threshold longitudinal, provides a gradual transition between the privacy of the home and the vastness of the landscape. Protects, frames the views and allows us to live outside without leaving the feeling of shelter.
In contrast with the surround in black, the inside is constructed entirely in light wood. Walls, ceilings, and surfaces share the same tonality, forming an atmosphere of continuous, warm, and silent. The materiality interior transforms the exterior structure, rigorous, and abstract, in a domestic and sensory.
Stay Horizon offers a way of inhabiting the plain: a house that opens to the huge and, at the same time, builds up inside a shelter content, warm and essential.
